It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Billy Gene Marsingill, who left this world on May 16, 2026, at the age of 71.
Billy was born on October 29th, 1954, in Jefferson, GA to the late Thomas and Rosalee Marsingill. In addition to his parents, Mr. Marsingill is preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, Dorothy Sharon Marsingill before her passing in 2018. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Francis (Dale) Mann and Patsy Rider, niece Jamie Darlene Browning, brother Wayne Marsingill and Grandaughter Ashley Lynn Gibson.
Mr. Marsingill is survived by his loving daughter and son in law, Tiffany and Joseph Mote along with their children Kala (Colby) Campbell, Tyler Gibson, Holly Mote and Jayda Mote. Son Billy Ty Marsingill (Ashley Maness) along with their children Grayson Marsingill, Gracie Tyler (Marsingill) and Savannah Gillespie. Daughter Betty McDuffie with her children Adam McDuffie, Michael Blaine McDuffie and Emma Grace McDuffie. Brother Junior (Sandra) Marsingill with their children Thomas A. Marsingill and Joshua Marsingill. Nieces Misty (Juan) Quiroz with their children Juan Eloy Quiroz-Marsingill and Mateo Quiroz-Marsingill. Holly (C.J.) Coleman, their children, Laila, Bre, Kayleigh, Makenna and Zachary Coleman. Amanda (Kevin) Adams with daughter Kimberly Adams. Nephews, Tommy Dustin Gilstrap with sons Michael and Christopher Gilstrap.
Mr. Marsingill is also survived by several extended family members including his aunt, Birtie Hatcher with her children Marcell David and Lawton Hatcher. Also his cousin Joyce Gaddis Palmer.
Billy will never be forgotten and will live on forever in our hearts.
